Celtics sign top pick Walker, keep Minor

The Boston Celtics signed top draft pick Antoine Walker on Fridayand also worked out a deal to keep free agent Greg Minor with theteam.

Terms of Minor's deal were not released, but the rookie salaryscale entitles Walker to $4,660,200 over three years, including$1,350,800 this season, $1,553,400 in 1997-98 and $1,756,000 in1998-99.

Walker was the sixth player chosen in the June draft, havingleft Kentucky after his sophomore season. The 6-foot-9, 225-poundforward out of Mount Carmel was Boston's highest draft pick since ittook Len Bias with the No. 2 pick in 1986.
